Botox marketing: the short answer
Botox marketing in Saudi Arabia works when you promote the doctor and the consultation, not the product. Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine, so it should not be advertised directly to the public, and Google and Meta restrict these ads. Build trust with doctor-led education, a clear consultation offer, a strong Google Maps profile and fast WhatsApp follow-up, with wording approved by the licensed doctor.
Injectables are among the most searched aesthetic treatments in Riyadh and Jeddah, and also the easiest to get wrong in advertising. Ads get rejected, accounts get restricted and, worse, a clinic can break health advertising rules. This guide shows how dermatology and aesthetic clinics can grow injectable bookings in a way that is safe and still effective. It is part of our dermatology clinic marketing work.
Why Botox is a special case
Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine. In Saudi Arabia, health advertising by clinics follows Ministry of Health rules and medicines are regulated by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and prescription medicines should not be promoted directly to the public. The platforms add their own layer: Google limits prescription drug ads to a few countries with certification, and Meta restricts ads that promote prescription drugs. In practice, an ad that says “Botox offer this week” is the wrong ad.
What you can promote instead
- The consultation: “Book an assessment with our dermatologist to discuss lines, volume and your options.”
- The doctor: name, specialty, classification, years of experience and what patients can expect from them.
- The process: how the first visit works, how long it takes, what aftercare looks like.
- Safety: licensed doctors only, assessment before any treatment, and honest answers about who should not have it.
Step 1: Build a consultation page
Create one page for facial assessments or anti-wrinkle consultations. Explain who the consultation is for, what the doctor checks, typical options discussed, the price of the consultation and how to book. Use plain language and keep product brand names out of headlines.
Step 2: Own the Google Maps result
Many injectable patients search “dermatologist near me” or the clinic’s area. A complete Google Business Profile with the right category, real photos of the doctor and clinic and recent detailed reviews often brings more injectable consultations than ads. See our Google My Business service.
Step 3: Educate on Instagram with the doctor
Short videos where the doctor answers real questions work well: how long results usually last, what a first session feels like, why an assessment matters, common myths. Organic content can go deeper than ads, but it is still health communication, so keep it factual and avoid promised results. When you advertise, promote the consultation and the doctor, target adults only and use a realistic radius around the clinic.
Step 4: Use search for the consultation, not the product
Search campaigns built around product names are likely to be restricted. Build them around the consultation and the specialist instead, such as “dermatologist consultation Riyadh” or “skin clinic Al Olaya”, and send them to the consultation page. Our Google Ads team sets this up within the policy.
Step 5: Follow up like a clinic, not a shop
Reply on WhatsApp within minutes, but do not quote treatment prices or doses in chat as if selling a product. Offer the consultation, two time slots and the doctor’s name. Confirm the day before.
Wording to use and to avoid
| Use | Avoid |
|---|---|
| “Book a consultation with our dermatologist” | “Botox offer” or product brand names in ads |
| “Assessment before any treatment” | “Guaranteed results” or “look 10 years younger” |
| “Licensed doctors, private rooms” | Before-and-after photos with promises |
| “Ask the doctor what suits you” | Prices per unit or “buy one area, get one free” |
Common mistakes
- Running product ads and losing the ad account after repeated rejections.
- Discount-led messaging that makes a medical treatment look like a cheap product.
- No doctor in the content, so patients cannot judge who will treat them.
- One page for every aesthetic service, so the consultation has no clear landing page.
How we measure it
We track consultation enquiries, booked consultations, attended consultations and treatments that follow, and compare channels each month. For context, Meta Ads brought our aesthetic dermatology client 800+ patients in 6 months by promoting the doctor and consultations, not products.

Frequently asked questions
Can clinics advertise Botox in Saudi Arabia?
Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine, so it should not be advertised directly to the public, and Google and Meta restrict these ads. Clinics can promote the doctor and consultations, with wording approved by the licensed doctor and in line with Ministry of Health rules.
What is the best way to market Botox?
Promote a consultation with a named, licensed doctor, educate with doctor-led videos, keep a strong Google Maps profile with recent reviews, and reply on WhatsApp within minutes.
Why do Botox ads get rejected?
Usually because they name a prescription product, promise results, use before-and-after promises or push discounts. Platforms treat these as restricted health claims.
