Google Ads for dentists works when each treatment (implants, braces, whitening, emergencies) has its own campaign, its own keywords in Arabic and English, and its own landing page. Target a realistic radius around the clinic, add call and location assets, block irrelevant searches with negative keywords and track calls and WhatsApp clicks as conversions.

Google is where people in Saudi Arabia go when a tooth hurts or when they are ready to compare implant prices. That makes Google Ads the fastest channel for a dental clinic, and also the easiest place to waste money. This guide shows the setup we use. It sits next to our wider guide on how to get more dental patients and our page on dental clinic marketing.

Step 1: One campaign per treatment

Implants, clear aligners, veneers, whitening, children’s dentistry and emergency care are different searches with different values. Put each one in its own campaign so you control its budget and see its cost per booking. An implant booking is worth many times a cleaning, so it deserves its own budget, not a share of a general campaign.

Step 2: Choose keywords people actually type

Saudi patients search in both Arabic and English, often mixing spelling. Build each campaign around three groups:

  • Treatment plus city or area: “dental implants Riyadh”, “braces clinic Jeddah”, “veneers Al Khobar”.
  • Price and comparison: “implant price”, “cost of clear aligners”, “best dental clinic for veneers”.
  • Urgent: “emergency dentist”, “dentist open now”, “tooth pain clinic near me”.

Add the Arabic version of each group, including the common spellings without the hamza, since many people type that way. Start with phrase and exact match, and only open broad match once conversion tracking is reliable.

Step 3: Add negative keywords on day one

Dental searches attract people who will never book: students, job seekers, people looking for home remedies or for government hospitals. Add negatives such as jobs, salary, course, college, university, free, home remedy, and the names of public hospitals if you are a private clinic. Check the search terms report every week and keep adding.

Step 4: Set location and schedule with care

Target people in or regularly in your area, not people who once showed interest in it. Use a radius that matches how far patients really drive, usually 8 to 15 km inside a large city. Run ads when someone can answer the phone. If the reception closes at 10 pm, an ad at midnight that leads to an unanswered call is wasted, except for an emergency campaign with a clear WhatsApp option.

Step 5: Use assets that make calling easy

Add a call asset with your clinic number, a location asset linked to your Google Business Profile, sitelinks to your main treatment pages, and callouts such as “female dentists available”, “evening appointments” or “parking available” when they are true. Assets make the ad bigger and give people a reason to choose you.

Step 6: Send each ad to the matching page

The implant ad goes to the implant page. That page names the doctor, explains the steps, gives a price range or “from” price if you can, shows real photos of the clinic and has a call button and a WhatsApp button at the top. This also improves your Quality Score, which can lower what you pay per click.

Step 7: Track conversions that mean bookings

Set up conversions for calls from ads, calls from the website, WhatsApp button clicks and form submissions. Then match them with the reception’s booking list each month. The number that matters is cost per booked and attended appointment, by treatment.

What Google’s healthcare policy means for dental ads

Google restricts some healthcare advertising, for example prescription medicines and certain treatments, and it reviews ads for misleading claims. Standard dental services such as check-ups, implants and orthodontics can usually be advertised, but avoid promised results, “guaranteed” wording and unclear prices. Health advertising in Saudi Arabia also has its own local rules, so keep the wording approved by the clinic’s licensed professionals.

Common mistakes we see in dental Google Ads accounts

  • One campaign for all treatments, so cleaning searches eat the implant budget.
  • No negative keywords, so jobs and course searches get paid clicks.
  • Conversions counted on page views instead of calls and WhatsApp clicks.
  • Ads running when no one answers the phone.
  • Landing on the home page instead of the treatment page.

How much should a dental clinic spend?

Start with a budget that gives each main campaign enough clicks per day to learn, then judge it by cost per booking after four to six weeks. Prices per click change by city, treatment and competition. Our article on how much Google Ads costs in Saudi Arabia explains how to plan the budget, and our Google Ads guide for Saudi businesses covers account basics.

Frequently asked questions

Do Google Ads work for dentists in Saudi Arabia?

Yes, when each treatment has its own campaign, keywords in Arabic and English and its own landing page, and when calls and WhatsApp clicks are tracked as conversions. Google Ads reaches people who are already searching for implants, braces or an emergency dentist.

Which keywords should a dental clinic bid on?

Treatment plus city (dental implants Riyadh), price and comparison searches (implant price) and urgent searches (emergency dentist, dentist open now), in Arabic and English, with negative keywords such as jobs, course and free.

Can dentists advertise on Google under the healthcare policy?

Standard dental services can usually be advertised. Google restricts prescription medicines and some treatments and rejects misleading claims, and Saudi health advertising rules also apply, so avoid promised results and keep claims approved.

How do I know if my dental Google Ads are working?

Measure cost per booked and attended appointment by treatment, by matching tracked calls, WhatsApp clicks and forms with the reception booking list each month.
